BlinkID

The BlinkID integration allows you to scan and to extract data from a user's ID. This helps verify a user's identity, while keeping their sensitive information secure. Advantages of this integration include:

  • Supporting a wide range of identity documents from around the world, from passports and travel visas to driver licenses and residence permits.

  • Processing done entirely on-device, with no Internet or server connection needed. This ensures that the user's sensitive information does not leave the app.

Note

The integration described in this article may not be implemented in your environment or enabled for all your clients. Contact your admin for assistance.

Configure BlinkID SDK in Mobile Builder

To enable the BlinkID SDK in Mobile Builder, you need to complete the Licensee ID, and the iOS and Android license keys, depending on the platforms (OS) you selected for your app. Request this information to the Mobile Product team and follow the steps detailed in Configure SDKs.

Important

The license for this SDK has an expiration date and must be updated in the binary when it expires. Check the expiration date with the Mobile Product team.

The integration allows you to use images and other animation files previously added to the app binary. To replace the lottie animations provided by default, the animation files must be uploaded to the project's repository. For each platform, the path to the folder in GitLab's repository is the following:

  • Android: client/projectname/productcode/raw/

  • iOS: client/projectname/productcode/images/
