Export or Import a Decision

In certain cases, teams create decisions in testing environments to make tests and, if they achieve the expected result, take those decisions to the production environment. For those cases, they use the Import and Export features available in BRMS.

Export a decision

Read the instructions below to learn how to export a decision.

  1. On the Decisions page, click Export.

  2. The Export Package modal opens in the Decisions tab. The list shows all the decisions and their tags.

    1. Go through the list or use the search bar to narrow down the list of decisions and then click the checkbox to the left of the decision you want to export. To export all decisions in bulk, click Select all. For this example, enter collect in the search bar. Then, click the checkbox to the left of the Collect decision.

    2. In the File name field, change the file name to Collect_Decision, so that you can identify it in your device.

    3. Click Export json.

  3. You will be redirected to the Decisions page and the .json file will be downloaded to your device.

Read the instructions below to learn how to import a decision.

  1. On the Decisions page, click Import.

  2. The file browser opens. Find the decision you want to import and click Open.

  3. You will be redirected to the Decisions page and the .json file will be uploaded to your environment. Then, you can find it in the list and edit it as required.
